Day by day
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, begin your journey with a drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its elephant populations, baobab trees, and varied wildlife. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive, stopping for a picnic lunch by the Tarangire River. Expect to see lions, giraffes, zebras, and over 500 bird species. In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge near the park for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire – Central Serengeti
Today, set off toward Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy an en-route game drive as you enter the vast Serengeti plains. By afternoon, you’ll arrive in the central Serengeti, also known as the Seronera region, which is rich in resident predators. Enjoy a sunset game drive before settling into your tented camp for the night.

Day 3: Central Serengeti – Northern Serengeti
Spend the entire day exploring the central Serengeti ecosystem. Morning and afternoon game drives give you a chance to witness lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, and possibly the Great Migration, depending on the season. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to camp for a hot meal between drives.

Day 4: Full Day in Northern Serengeti
Spend the day exploring the northern Serengeti, focusing on the Mara River area where wildebeest crossings take place (depending on timing and luck). With patience and a bit of luck, you may witness thousands of wildebeest plunging into crocodile-infested waters — a breathtaking highlight of the migration. Your guide will also seek out big cats, elephants, and other game in this remote and scenic region.

Day 5: Northern Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before beginning your journey south toward Ngorongoro. Traverse the plains and woodlands while spotting wildlife along the way. Arrive at your lodge near the Ngorongoro Crater in the late afternoon. Relax and enjoy the cool highland air as you prepare for the next day's crater adventure.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater floor offers excellent chances of spotting black rhinos, lions, elephants, hippos, and flocks of flamingos. After a picnic lunch, ascend the crater and return to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon. Accommodation: Not included (can be arranged on request)
